Ivana Záleská

She was born on June16, 1971 in Varnsdorf

She geaduated from the Gymnázium Rumburk (1985–1989) 
and from the Faculty of Education of J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem 
art field (under the academic painter Jaroslav Prášil) 
and history (1989–1994)

At present she is living and creating in the Šumava region

She mostly dedicates herself to acrylic painting, creating reliefs and relief pictures. She also devotes to drawing and graphic technics of woodcarving. The main subject of her pictures is figures which serve to express deeper experiences of the author and her inner perceiving of the world outside and inside of us. Her creation is boldly influenced by nearness of the magnificent scenery of the Bohemian forest.

Ivana's father - the academic sculptor Ivan Záleský - has been her lifelong teacher and the source of inspiration.
